Completing a Full Circle
A light was shown, and it was seen that being nice, honest, and caring did pay off in the end. Roberta and Elmer were motivated by one another's grit and drive, and they never lost sight of how far they'd come from their humble beginnings on the streets. In other words, “I know what it's like to be homeless. Elmer told CBS News that “no one deserves to live that way.” But Roberta has always cared deeply about giving back to her community, so she and her partner in crime decided to tackle this problem head-on with a unique collaborative effort. They founded an inspiring organization, Outreach Foundation, to aid young persons experiencing homelessness. What a perfect circle this is!
