The New Haven, Connecticut area, was home to Roberta Hoskie, who played a significant role in her hometown. She was a dedicated board member for numerous community colleges and non-profits and the founder of her own organisations and a real estate school. A secret, however, concerning her history was about to be revealed.
The Big Get-Together
Roberta was delighted to hear that Elmer had located the cheque and was looking forward to finally meeting him. She had been instructed to meet him on the corner of the street closest to her place of work and that he would be donning a New York hoodie. Roberta and her companion arrived at the prearranged meeting place and saw the two men standing in the autumn light, smiling and holding the cheque. During their greetings, Roberta learned about Elmer's ordeal and how her cheque finally made it back to her. Both of them were unprepared for how emotionally charged their exchange would become.
