A Slice Of Time: Under Lake Ontario, a Top Military Secret was found

9 miniature rockets

Each of the nine Avro Arrow prototypes were roughly 10 feet (3 metres) in length. They had wingspan of about 6.5 feet (ca. 2 m). However, they weren't exact replicas of their older sister. These tiny arrows were powered by solid fuel. In order to reach the speed required to test the wings for drag and stability difficulties, they were mounted on rocket boosters. They were then launched from Lake Ontario's Point Petre.
