After a year of anticipation, shock, difficulty, and just plain hard work, the crew finally celebrated. Their Facebook page announced, “We are thrilled to inform that the first historic relic of the Avro Arrow free-flight programme has been retrieved.” On August 13, 2018, after spending more than 64 years lying on the bottom of Lake Ontario, it was returned to shore at CFB Trenton.
