The corporation dared not reveal what they were looking for because this prize was so extraordinary. They were unable to raise Canada's hopes for fear that everything would turn out to be a hoax. They would not even provide their search criteria to the crew. The team was tremendously excited as a result of the secrecy. They were aware that they were searching for something with a significant potential for global effect. But they had no idea what it might be.
