Celebrity Actors Who Hated Playing Their Most Recognized Roles

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra was a chore for Channing Tatum.

Channing Tatum, who played G.I. Joe in an action film, said on the Howard Stern radio show that he detested the role. Saying, “I'll be forthright. Tatum has stated, “I was pushed into making the movie, and I f***ing detest it.” The script didn't work out very well. The actor had serious doubts about playing the part he loved so much because the script was so poor, and he was a tremendous fan of the TV show. However, it appears that celebrities are occasionally obligated to engage in behavior that goes against their personal values.

Because of Daredevil, Ben Affleck got cast as Batman.

Ben Affleck stated of the 2003 superhero film in which he appeared, “I loathe Daredevil so much.” The film's $179.2M worldwide gross (against a budget of roughly $78M) falls short of expectations. The reviews were scathing, sealing the film's fate in the “bomb” column. After the critical failure of Daredevil, Zack Snyder said of Batman v Superman, “I wanted for once to do one of these movies and get it right-to do a good rendition.”
