Jennifer Garner was obligated to play Elektra.
Compared to Elektra, which was arguably considerably worse than Daredevil, Daredevil was a rather average film. Michael Vartan, Jennifer Garner's ex and a former co-star on Alias, discussed the film in an interview. He told Us Weekly, “[Jennifer] called me and told me it was bad.” She felt compelled to act because of Daredevil. It said so right there in her contract, so it had to happen. Garner's career suffered as a result of the film, and she later expressed a desire for the Kevin Feige treatment for her Elektra if she were part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Jason Bateman, “Horrible Bosses 2” was a financial flop.
Jason Bateman has starred in a plethora of critically acclaimed films. However, he is not particularly proud of his work on the sequel to “Horrible Bosses.” While the original Horrible Bosses was a riot, no one can argue that the sequel bombed in 2014. According to Jason, “the second one was rubbish as far as box office goes.” No one can say for sure why the movie was a financial failure: its quality or the timing of its release. Obviously, he wouldn't come back for a sequel or a prequel.
