Celebrity Actors Who Hated Playing Their Most Recognized Roles

Angus T. Jones pleaded with viewers of “Two and a Half Men” to quit watching the show.

Angus T. Jones's nine-year-old casting as Jake Harper on Two and a Half Men made him an indispensable part of the show's success. The show's premise—Jake and his father, just divorced, moving in with his uncle, a reckless womanizer—led to some questionable content. After realising that “it was making light of subjects in our world that are truly difficulties for a lot of people,” Angus quit the show at the age of 19 and joined a church. He also pleaded with viewers to “stop stuffing their skulls with trash” and called himself a “paid hypocrite” (he reportedly made $350,000 per programme).

Aunt May is one-dimensional, according to Sally Field.

Although Sally Field played Aunt May in the 2012 superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man, she reportedly did not enjoy playing the role. On the Howard Stern show, she added, “Work it as much as you can, but you can't fit ten pounds of s**t in a five-pound bag.” We conclude that she did not enjoy the films directed by Andrew Garfield, but then again, neither did the majority of audiences, which explains why he did not return for a third installment.
