Celebrity Actors Who Hated Playing Their Most Recognized Roles

There's no getting away from High School Musical for Zac Efron.

A boy can be removed from High School Musical, but the show will always be a part of who he is. That's how Zac Efron felt years after playing the part. Although it catapulted him into the public eye, Efron fears he may be typecast forever. “When I take a step back and look at myself, there are times when I really want to kick that guy's a**,” he admitted. “I mean, he's still just that f***ing kid from High School Musical,” she said, referring to Zac Efron's High School Musical co-star.

With Batman & Robin, George Clooney has yet to stop apologizing.

The question remains, “Can George Clooney become any better?” Perhaps not, but probably not. We think it's hilarious that he is constantly saying sorry for playing Batman in Batman & Robin, which came out nearly two decades ago. At the time, I believed this was a brilliant strategy for my professional development. And it wasn't. The film wasn't great, but it's unfair to pin that failure on Clooney.
