Not using proper barbecue tools
As with the prior warning, it is strongly urged that if you are preparing your meal on the grill, you should wear insulated, fire-resistant gloves and use long-handled tools when flipping your burgers. Along with this advise, make sure you have a spray bottle of water and a fire extinguisher nearby. You are aware. Simply in case.
Dumping hot coals
It's just as important as leaving water in kiddie pools to make sure that leftover grill coals don't end up on the ground. Coals can reach temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit, resulting in catastrophic injury for many barefoot youngsters who step on hot coals. When the barbecue is over, either let the embers cool in the grill or totally smother them with water.
