Barbossa's Return was Foreshadowed – Part 1
Barbossa being brought back to life was a major plot twist and a revelation at the end of Dead Man's Chest. If you watch the movie again, you'll notice two clues about his return. The first hint is when Tia is paid for her services with Jack, the monkey, and the little animal runs to a back room. The scene is dark, so one can barely see what he's doing. But he runs straight to a pair of booted feet that is later revealed to be Barbossa's.
