Commodore Norrington's heart's desire
This scene says a lot by saying very little. We won't judge you if you didn't notice it the first time when you watched the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. There's a scene when Commodore Norrington first holds Jack's compass. Considering it a supernatural instrument that points to whatever the holder wants the most, we understand Commodore values duty (i.e., catching Jack) over romance (Elizabeth, who is seen standing nearby).
