The Festival Was Unsanitary
There were far too few restrooms for the number of people that attended the event, and it rained for three days straight on the festival grounds. It was often impossible to discern the difference between mud and, well, you know. There were just three documented deaths. One person died as a result of a ruptured appendix, another as a result of an overdose, and a third as a result of being ran over by a tractor. These three occurrences were all heartbreaking, but they were not the result of physical fights. In general, attending the festival was a safe bet.
Countless Figures
Because the event organizers had miscalculated the amount of people who would attend Woodstock, everything was in short supply. The turnout significantly exceeded expectations, which was both good and bad for the event organizers. Food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), drinks (liquor, water, fruit juices, punches, and other beverages), medical supplies, and facilities were in short supply. Nonetheless, everyone got by just fine because to the collaborative spirit—as you'll find if you keep reading through this list!
