Pay Me Right Away

Music was played nonstop during the event, both during the day and at night, ensuring that there was never a dull moment at Woodstock. Nonetheless, the organizers came perilously close to suspending all activity behind closed doors. To accommodate the enormous number of unanticipated viewers, several performers asked cash payment before performing. To obtain the necessary monies, the organizers had to go to a local bank that was open on a Saturday.

The event's host, Max Yasgur, owned one of the 600-acre dairy farms where the Woodstock concert was place. The people gathered here to rejoice. The fact that he didn't need much convincing to agree to rent the home could be attributed to the celebratory environment. In exchange for the use of the site, he promised to pay the festival organizers $10,000. Property damage, on the other hand, cost well over $50,000. This inflation was aided by littering and general property degradation.
