Specter of the Swamp
They pondered the mysterious circumstances that had led to a military plane landing there. An accident was not the case, as it was still in one piece. How long had it been sitting there, and why had it been landed in the middle of a swamp? The distant location made it hard to determine how long it had been left there, but estimates ranged from many years to several decades. Despite the aircraft's apparent age, it appeared to be in perfect condition. The discovery piqued the troops' interest, who dubbed it “Swamp Ghost.”
