Now that the Swamp Ghost has a final resting place in the museum, the curators there have chosen to do something extremely special to commemorate the plane and its history. During WWII, Walt Disney Studios created nose art for several aircraft. In fact, Disney provided more than 1,200 American and Allied forces insignia, using many of their iconic characters. Since Donald Duck was the most well-known Disney character, commissioning him to do nose art for the Ghost was an easy decision on the museum's part. Pocahontas's co-director Mike Gabriel and others designed this emblem.
