In 1950, the Soviets crewed research stations on the Arctic Ocean to explore the North Pole. That is when this touching photo of soldiers feeding polar bears was captured.
The Christmas Truce
In 1914 during Christmas, the French, German, and British soldiers called an unofficial ceasefire along the western front. All of them took part in a joint burial for the lost soldiers, which ended in carol-singing. This event is hence called ‘Christmas Truce.'
