Tentatively awaiting Allen's arrival
In May of 1962, Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers completed their excavations through the crumbling cement. But they hung around to wait for Allen West to complete his, possibly to make sure he wouldn't blow the whistle. No matter what the cause, they didn't have to wait very long. Allen West carved out a passageway through the rock in early June of 1962. The time has come for the group to make their daring escape from the infamous Alcatraz.
