“Scans Reveal Self-Mummified Body Inside Ancient Statue”

Ever wondered what is inside an ancient statue? Meander Medical Centre and Drents Museum used a CT scan and endoscopy to look inside a 1000-year-old Buddhist statue. Not only was a mummified body inside the statue without organs. All the chest cavity that was present was a rotting piece of paper. The paper revealed that the man's name was Liuquan. It was believed that he died 1,000 years ago, in the year 1100 AD.
