To the streets
Even though Statham was able to get several modeling gigs, it was ultimately insufficient. He was struggling to make ends meet and find enough modeling work. He soon chose to follow in his father's footsteps and began selling on the street. He made some additional money by selling imitation perfume and jewelry on street corners. Even with this additional money, it remained insufficient.
Music video actor
Statham realized he didn't want to stay homeless forever, so he began looking for alternative methods to get money. While minor jobs helped Statham get off the streets, he knew he wanted more. He began attending auditions for other music videos and was eventually cast. He appeared in various music videos, including the Shamen's “Comin' On Strong” in 1993, Erasure's “Run to the Sun” in 1994, and The Beautiful South's “Dream a Little Dream of Me” in 1995.
