At Middle Tennessee State University, Joel went on to earn a degree in Media Production with a television emphasis. He made the decision to return and assist St. Jude in its quest to save more children with cancer and other serious illnesses out of heartfelt gratitude. Through his motivational films, he tells touching tales of grieving children and their families who have battled cancer and survived.
