How to get there
After an exhaustingly long journey, Gayle, her husband Steve, their kids Gabby, Ayla, Jaz, and Jaz's girlfriend Laura finally made it to Varadero. They were eager to get to the resort and unwind by the pool. They could hardly wait to see it all in person after spending weeks poring over photos of a sparkling pool surrounded by exotic palm palms. Unfortunately, the Evanses were horrified by what they saw when they eventually arrived at the Brisas del Caribe resort.
A nightmare
The resort, according to Gayle, was “in a condition of ruin,” and “it seemed like it was not actually open.” They initially thought it was all a mistake and that their actual hotel was somewhere else, but they soon realised that this was in fact the “dream” resort they had been eagerly anticipating for weeks. However, Gayle claimed that the resort didn't resemble the images on the internet at all; rather, it appeared to be “the stuff of nightmares.”
