Danger to safety
The hotel was not only unappealing to the eye, but also unsafe. When we mentioned things like “the pavement was crumbled,” we didn't imply that a few bricks had been moved around; rather, the entire area had been broken up and ruined. Someone going about at night without being able to notice the damage would be foolish, and children running around and playing would be foolish to trip over it.
Certainly not conducive to good health
The bathroom is notorious for harbouring more germs than any other area in the house. It's full with disgusting microbes that no one should be exposed to. Picture this: you check into your hotel and find this in the bathroom. You shouldn't be in close proximity to or breathing in this. That the hotel administration saw this as an appropriate way to show a room to guests is also alarming. That's no way for a restroom to look.
